Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu is one of the 28 states in India. It is located in southern India and bordered by the Eastern Ghats in the north, the Nilgiri, the Anamalai Hills, and Palakkad on the west, by the Bay of Bengal in the east, the Gulf of Mannar, the Palk Strait in the south east, and by the Indian Ocean in the south. It is surrounded by the states Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

Tourism in Tamil Nadu
          Tamil Nadu's tourism industry ranks second among the 28 states in India. It has an annual growth rate of 16%. The Government of Tamil Nadu has formed the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) to promote tourism in Tamil Nadu.  Tamil Nadu has mountains, beaches, monuments, temples, wildlife, sculptures, world heritage sites which attract lot of tourists from all over the world. 




          The tourism department has done a lot to improve tourism in Tamil Nadu.  Now a days you can enjoy adventure tourism in various places of the state through the tourism department. In 
Chennai  the department has introduced various schemes like hop-on hop-off tour to help tourists to  enjoy their tour comfortably. 

           During the Summer season from April to June, the department organizes various programs throughout the state like Summer festival, Dance festival, Flower shows, Competitions, Fruit shows etc.  Thus Tamil Nadu is one of the best places to visit!!
